Hello @beakerboy Thanks for the patch.
We have our production running on Windows server and when we used SqlSrv module - we faced this issue.

I applied the patch https://www.drupal.org/files/issues/not-update-entity-serial-columns-234... in our Drupal installation
Tested on windows server and now I am able to save the entities.
