Hi,

Steps followed to test:-

1. Created a field of type fivestar rating in a content type.
2. Clicked on manage display tab and chose format as Stars and configured stars as heart.
3. Saved the node and user can see hearts in place of stars or select list.

I am not able to reproduce this bug as well. Attaching screenshots too. Please refer.
Seems it is fixed in the current D8 version.
I am closing this issue as of now. Please feel free to open it back again if the issue still persists.
