@vatsalkhanna, it seems there is a discrepancy between the module on Drupal Gitlab and the one that installs using composer.

The .info file for the composer installed one is exactly like the one I shared above while the latest from 8.x-1.x branch (the one you used to create the patch) looks as follows.

Applying the patch to the above works as expected.
