Confirming that this issue exists.

I tried to install Drupal Console in my repo by composer require drupal/console --dev --prefer-dist --optimize-autoloader.
But the composer is throwing errors w.r.t version locking of symfony packages.(In my case the package is symfony/dom-crawler)

Since Drupal Console seems to be the correct way of creating sub-profile, This seems to be the blocker?
